The Newman Center is the official Catholic space on Queens College. It is located in the Student Union Building alongside other religious spaces.
The Center's space is maintained and run by the Diocese of Brooklyn in conjunction with Queens College.
The space includes 2 offices, a chapel, kitchen area, and lounge area where we hold daily Mass and our events.
The Newman Center is also the home of the Newman Club, the student led Catholic community on campus. It is where they hold their events as well.
Our chapel is our most sacred place in the Newman Center. The Eucharist is kept inside the tabernacle inside this very room, making it a special place. Upon entering the room, you are in the physical presence of Jesus Christ, thus making it a place of intimate prayer. Everyone is welcomed to visit this space and spend time with the Lord in prayer.
